Gonzo is a Muppet

Of course, Hunter S. Thompson died. I was never a fan of his writings or lifestyle, but at least I knew who he was. Everyone's talking about him, and I have no idea what the big fucking deal is - I think he was a bit overrated, and that's all I have to say about it. I hope, unlike other celebrities who commit suicide, his life doesn't get glamorized, exploited, and glossed-over.

I respect the fact that he (Thompson) lived as he wanted to, wrote things as he saw them, etc. He just wasn't to my liking. I didn't like his writing style, topics, etc. He had some very interesting political viewpoints, to be sure, and as a writer, I definitely respect what he did. I just...didn't like reading his stuff.

But yeah, whatever. No matter how hard I've tried to grasp his writing style, I've never been able to look past the fact that, to me, Gonzo is a penis-nosed Muppet.
